If you’re a big sushi fan, you probably have already tried it in a restaurant without knowing it. Genmaicha was created during World War II in Japan. Families added roasted rice to their green tea to make their rations last longer. The steamed Shizouka green tea and roasted rice popcorn create a mellow and gently roasted flavour.
 
NOTE: Over-steeping or over-temperature will result in bitterness and a less balanced flavour.
