The art of Reading Tea Leaves, also known as Tasseography, has been around for centuries. Tasseography evolved from the French word "tasse", which means cup. The practice started from European fortune tellers during the medieval time. It then expanded to England, Ireland, Scotland and eventually the Middle East.
With the world pandemic, we all agree that 2020 is not a good idea. As we're just days away from Halloween, let's take a look at something that we can do at home (of course, keeping our social distancing). For believers, this is a great way to "tell your future"; for non-believers, it never hurts to have a bit a Halloween fun. Let's take a look at how you can read your tea leaves.
Whenever we talk about reading tea leaves, one could imagine oneself dresses as Professor Trelawney from Harry Potter. Big glasses, flyaway hair and a whole loads of bullocks. For some people, there are actual facts and science behind the art of reading tea leaves.
Let's talk about the process first:
1) Add two table spoons of Dan & Russ' tea leaves into a cup. Let it steep for couple minutes
2) This is the best part! Drink your tea!
3) Take the handle of the tea cup in your left hand
4) Swirl the cup in counter-clockwise. Just a couple swirl is great, there is no need to go crazy
5) Take a saucer and invert the cup on the saucer.
6) Leave the cup on the saucer until the contents of the cup drain away
7) Gently turn the cup up from the right
8) Now, you're ready to read your tea leaves

- The Rim of the cup represents the immediate present or future-a day or so

- The Base is further away such as weeks, months, or even years. The time frame depends on what symbol or number falls beneath it.
